Garment Care

By following the instructions below you should get many years of joy from your Libertine the label garments.

Fabric Composition :

COTTON, LINEN, SILK COTTON

  • Hand wash gently in cold water, use a mild liquid detergent or natural body wash.
  • Hand wash Light and dark colours separately,
  • We prefer air dry out of sunlight, on a hanger.
  • Iron on low temperature inside out on reverse side of fabric.
  • Cotton with lurex - lurex will naturally slowly migrate at times through the fabric, you can remove these threads without causing fraying.

EMBROIDERIES

  • Hand wash gently in cold water, use a mild liquid detergent or natural body wash.
  • Hand wash Light and dark colours separately,
  • We prefer air dry out of sunlight, on a hanger.
  • Very cool Iron, inside out, place a cotton cloth between garment and iron to prevent any heat or pressure damage.

VISCOSE, RAYON

  • Hand wash gently in cold water, use a mild liquid detergent or natural body wash.
  • Hand wash Light and dark colours separately,
  • We prefer air dry out of sunlight, on a hanger.
  • Warm iron inside out, slight stretching with hand and iron will help bring the rayon or viscose back into shape, as viscose or rayon become 'tight' after washing and needs to be gently stretched to retain shape/size. If embroidered - use a cloth as above to protect the embroidery
  • Viscose or rayon with lurex -  lurex will naturally slowly migrate at times through the fabric, you can remove these threads without causing fraying.
